Long-term events are a separate category of bets that require a special approach to season analysis and planning. Many players are skeptical about them, because in some cases you have to wait the whole season, with generally the same odds as for individual matches. But this applies only to bets on the winner of the championship or cup, made at the very beginning of the tournament. In addition to them, there are others that play out much faster and can bring a bigger win, especially if you have true football predictions but they also belong to the long-term category.
The main types of long-term rates:
The winner of the tournament. A difficult and not always profitable option. Situations when a clear outsider wins any tournament, even a not particularly prestigious one, such as the League Cup in some countries, happen extremely rarely. Yes, in this case, a very large coefficient can play, as it was with the English "Leicester" of the 2015/2016 season, for the victory of which they gave a coefficient of 1000, and some fans bet symbolic sums.
But this is more the exception than the rule, and in football it is almost impossible to calculate such an outcome. If you bet on the standard favorites of the championship, then you can rarely see a coefficient higher than 5, and you can find it in an ordinary match. Therefore, such bets can be safely classified as exotic, not suitable for earning.
Champions League and Europa League playoffs.
Here everything is somewhat simpler. Having seen the first pairs in the 1/8 finals, with a good knowledge of the main favorites, you can predict the winner of the tournament with a high probability, and you will have to wait much less - only four months. If the coefficient is high enough, as well as confidence, then it makes sense to gamble on such an event with a large sum.
Separate rounds of the playoffs.
The most popular option, actively used by all categories of players. This is a bet on the team's passage to the next round, for example, in 1/4 of the 1/8 finals. This is easily calculated, and sometimes you don't have to wait at all if the round is played in one match. In such matches, such a win rate is more reasonable, because in the case of a draw in regular time, the winner is determined in an extra half or a penalty shootout, which is not included in the standard win rate. Therefore, many prefer to bet on the "pass".
If the playoff round consists of two matches, then most often they play in a week, at most - in two. And only in rare cases, for example, the semi-finals of the Italian Cup, with a gap of a month.
