Illegal migration creates prerequisites for the collapse of the country. It is a source of humanitarian and terrorist risks. This opinion was expressed by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Mykola Patrushev at the XII International Meeting of High Representatives on Security Issues in St. Petersburg. This is reported by the Russian news agency "RIA Novosti".
"The flows of migrants and temporarily displaced persons provoked by man-made crises destroy the ethno-confessional balance and create prerequisites not only for changing borders, but also for the disintegration of countries. Moreover, illegal migration is a major source of humanitarian risks," said Patrushev.
He added that illegal migration is "closely connected with terrorists, organized crime, arms, drugs, people and human organs trafficking".
At the same time, Patrushev did not specify whether he meant potential threats specifically to Russia.
The online edition of The Moscow Times cites Rosstat data, according to which at least 2015 million migrants live permanently in Russia as of 3,5. In the next 20 years, according to Rosstat's forecast, their number will increase to 8,5 million. These indicators should cover approximately 40% of natural losses, which, according to Russian demographers, will amount to 12,7 million people by 2046.
We will remind, on April 22, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Serhii Lavrov stated that the USA and NATO are "obsessed with the idea of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia." He accused the West of the threat of a clash between nuclear powers.
On April 25, the leader of Belarus, Oleksandr Lukashenko, accused Washington of threatening nuclear war. He believes that Russia will strike first if the internal situation is threatened.
