In Ukraine, a combat wheeled unmanned platform CRAB was developed in a format for the Armed Forces and combat medics. "Military" writes about it.

Thanks to the state cluster for the development of military technologies BRAVE1, in March 2024 the CRAB robotic platform was tested and received certification of compliance with the DSTU and codification according to NATO standards.

The wheeled platform is presented in CRAB-M (Military) and CRAB-LS (Life Saver) versions. Military modification designed for reconnaissance and strike operations. A combat module is attached to it with the possibility of installing a PKT machine gun with an ammunition stock of 650 rounds and RPG-7 or RPV-16 grenade launchers. In addition, the platform can do remote demining and demining. CRAB has a combat radius of 1,5 kilometers, a range of 25 kilometers and can work continuously for 4 hours.

CRAB is 1480mm long, 1080mm wide, 580mm top base height (1250mm with module) and 300mm ground clearance. The load capacity of the platform reaches 150 kilograms.

The folding and unfolding time of the platform is 5 and 7 minutes, respectively, and the total weight of 330 kilograms makes it possible to transport it on pickups, trailers and small trucks.

Life Saver is a modification designed to perform logistical and medical tasks. According to its technical characteristics, it is almost no different from its combat "brother": the developers have slightly increased the dimensions and load capacity.
