The new Renault Duster will be manufactured at the Bursa Oyak Renault car factories and will be exported to various countries around the world in the future. It is worth noting that the Duster crossover is sold in Ukraine under the Renault brand, so Ukrainian drivers can expect a new generation in the future.
What has changed?
The new Renault Duster differs from the Dacia Duster only in the grille with the Renault inscription and the diamond-shaped logo on the steering wheel. Engines and drives are the same. According to reports, the reservation of the novelty will work in Turkey at the end of May, but the prices have not yet been announced.
The new Renault Duster is based on the CMF-B platform, which is also used in the Clio, Captur and Arkana models. However, Dacia/Renault uses a simplified version here. The CMF-B platform offers a variety of engine options, including a full gasoline hybrid, a 48V mild hybrid, and an LPG engine.
Like Dacia, the new Renault Duster has a length of 4,34 meters. Compared to the previous generation, the volume of the trunk has been increased to 594 liters, and in the cabin - about 29 liters.
Under the hood
The new Renault Duster will be available with three different engines, but no diesel.
The most efficient is the E-Tech full hybrid drive with a capacity of 145 hp. with automatic transmission. It is noted that the model has an average fuel consumption of 5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 114 g/km. Not only can it work in electric mode, but it can also carry out the start-up process in electric mode.
Renault Duster is also available with an improved 1,2-liter mild hybrid gasoline engine with a capacity of 130 hp. and a 4×4 drive system in combination with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine is complemented by a 48-volt 0,8 kWh battery that provides estimated fuel economy and additional torque for a smoother ride. This version has an average consumption of 6 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 136 g/km.
The new Renault Duster is equipped with the new YouClip system, which consists of 6 attachment points located in different places in the cabin (front console, center console, trunk). YouClip allows you to attach accessories designed by Renault specifically for the car, such as a tablet holder, a smartphone holder or a 3-in-1 holder that combines a cup holder, a hook and a lamp.
