The plane of the Russian Federation was fixed in the international airspace over the Baltic Sea.
Germany raised fighter jets in the air to intercept the Russian Il-20 military plane, which was fixed in the sky over the Baltic Sea. This was reported by the German Air Force on Friday, April 26.
The message indicates that after the IL-20 (COOT-A) was recorded, fighter jets were flown from Laage Air Base to intercept it.
"Our German Eurofighters took off from Laage for the Alpha Scramble today around 12.45pm," the Luftwaffe said in a statement.
This is not the first such incident regarding the interception of a Russian Il-20 electronic reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea.
German Eurofighter fighters intercepted Russian planes near Latvia for the first time.
