Today I will tell you the recipe for another preparation that will make life easier for housewives - borscht dressing for the winter. All you have to do is boil the broth, add potatoes and cabbage, open the miracle jar with this beet preparation, and the borscht is ready!
Ingredients:
- boiled beets, 1 kg;
- sweet pepper and onion, carrot 1 kg each;
- vegetable oil, 300 ml;
- salt, 2 tablespoon;
- sugar, 100 g;
- tomato paste, 250 g;
- vinegar 9%, 4 tbsp.
Preparation:
Boil the beets and grate them on a large grater.
Carrots are also grated on a large grater.
Cut the onion into cubes and fry in heated oil until translucent.
Add carrots and stew everything together for 10 minutes.
Cut sweet pepper into small pieces.
Pour tomato paste into onions and carrots and simmer for 10 minutes.
Tomato paste can be replaced with 1 kg of pureed tomatoes.
Add sweet pepper, salt, sugar and boil for 5 minutes.
Add the beets and pour in the vinegar, mix and simmer for 20 minutes over low heat with the lid on.
Place the preparation in sterilized jars and screw with sterilized lids, leave in the room to cool.
The workpiece can be stored for several years, both in the basement and in the pantry.
