For professionals, the preparation of cabbage rolls by all rules begins with the selection of cabbage.
So that there are no complications when processing vegetables, you should choose medium-sized cobs of no more than 1-1,5 kg for cabbage rolls. Large leaves may be veined and will have to be cut into pieces.
It is better to choose a little green cabbage, it breaks down better, and the head itself should not be too dense.
After that, the cob is turned over and cooked for another half a minute.
Pull out the cabbage and quickly remove the leaves one by one. A large cob will have to be processed again.
But there is a faster way.
For this you need:
- wash the cabbage;
- wrap it in several layers of cling film;
- put the cob in a baking bag and tie tightly;
- microwave on high for 10 minutes.
After that, you can pull out the cob and remove the leaves.
