An employee of one of the Congolese parks took a selfie with gorillas and became a star on the Internet

Some of us work in a stifling office, without even thinking about what it's like to work in the bosom of nature side by side with animals that never cease to amaze. An employee of one of the national parks became an Internet celebrity in a matter of days. All thanks to a photo taken in one of Congo's parks - a selfie with two young gorillas.

Last spring, a park employee took a unique photo that garnered 20 reposts and more than 000 likes. What is its uniqueness? Just a selfie has a very interesting story.

The two young female gorillas shown in the photo were left without a mother (she was killed by poachers when they were babies). But the animals, when they grew up, turned out to be so charismatic that you just can't take your eyes off the photo.

One gorilla stands sideways to the camera, while turning his head into the frame. Her look is full of dignity, and it is obvious to the naked eye that the animal enjoys being photographed. The second gorilla is also a camera lover and a photo model at heart — she tries her best to get into the frame by leaning towards her sister.

The most interesting thing is that both gorillas are standing on their hind legs during the photo, which makes many users doubt the authenticity of the image.

The park in which these gorillas live is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is unique in the world, as it has sheltered many orphaned mountain gorillas whose families suffered at the hands of poachers. They are looked after by more than 500 rangers who not only fight against poaching, but also undergo regular training for more than six months, which is an important preparation for work in the park.
