Leisure in the Carpathians by season
The Ukrainian mountains have become an all-season destination — local resorts have something to do in any weather.
- Winter
Snowboarding, skiing, and sledding remain a traditional option. Everyone is invited to race with the wind on a dog sled, snowmobile or tubing. Fans of extreme entertainment will enjoy the specialized snow park, where you can improve your skating skills and tricks. A more relaxed option would be to visit the ice rink.
- Spring
In March, real winter weather with all its charms is preserved in the mountains. Since April, the Carpathian rivers become full of water, so the rafting season opens. Prefer a more relaxed leisure time? Choose all-season entertainment or go for a walk to enjoy the clean mountain air and blooming meadows.
- Summer
In the summer, the choice of entertainment in large resorts is greater than on the sea coast! For example, in Bukovel you can go hiking on mountain peaks, enjoy cycling (on trails or downhill), normal and mountain karting, ATVs, catamarans, jet skis, wakeboards, water skiing. Extreme parks, various attractions, diving lessons, fishing spots are opening.
- Autumn
In the first half of autumn, all summer entertainment is available. In October and November, the number of attractions is reduced, active preparations for the ski season are underway. However, this is a great time to enjoy a secluded vacation.
All-season entertainment includes a flight over the Carpathians by helicopter, various excursion programs, horseback riding, riding on zip lines, trolleys, a roller drome, visits to local restaurants and fairs with tasting of traditional dishes, SPA procedures.
Entertainment options for the youngest
Children will not be bored in the Carpathians either! In winter, there is a day ski camp and various attractions, and in summer, sports and playgrounds open in the open air. All-season options include visiting local amusement parks, petting zoos, and locations such as Husky House. Additionally, hotels provide access to spacious game rooms.
