To get a quality European education, Ukrainian students most often go to the Czech Republic or Poland. But they undeservedly bypass Slovakia with their attention. At the same time, the quality of universities here is in no way inferior to other European countries, and the cost of living — one of the lowest in the EU.

Higher education system
As in most other countries, there are public, private and state universities in Slovakia. In three years, a student receives a bachelor's degree. It will take two more years to complete his master's degree. And if you want to get a doctor's degree, after completing the master's degree, you need to study for another 3 years.
Admission procedure
The requirements of higher educational institutions may differ, but the general principles for admission are as follows:
- age — more than 17 years old;
- confirmed knowledge of the Slovak language at a level not lower than B2, for English language training a corresponding certificate of English proficiency is required;
- successful passing of entrance exams, if required by the chosen specialty.
Ukrainians can enter Slovak universities immediately after school or after special preparatory courses.
