Mitsubishi presented the restyled L200 at the Geneva Motor Show. This car was shown for the first time about six months ago, but no one has seen the new L200 in use.
The L200 pickup looks stylish, modern and powerful. The fourth generation of the model is the best if we talk about the ratio of price and quality.
The main novelty of the model is an aggressive appearance. Finally, designers mitsubishi improved the appearance, because the image is not the last point for which pick-up trucks are chosen. The new L200 looks brutal due to the fact that the hood and grille have been pulled up, the headlights have been narrowed, and the fenders have been placed wider. From behind, the car looks no less aggressive. Here are completely diode optics, which look even cooler than in the Pajero Sport. Narrow front optics.
It is possible to notice the changes in appearance with the naked eye. It can be seen that the designers worked on every detail, eliminated all the shortcomings. The central part of the front part of the car was separated under a narrow grille with pronounced horizontal chrome inserts. Huge lateral fog lights located on the sides of the bumper also attract attention.
There are not so many changes at the back. Among the innovations, it is possible to note that clearly expressed stop signals.
There are also changes in geometric cross-country ability. The running boards were raised by several centimeters, the ground clearance was increased to 22 centimeters. The entry and exit angles have improved by one degree due to the fact that the bumper has been trimmed a little both in front and behind.
From a technical point of view, there are also changes. The most important thing is probably the new machine. There were five steps, now there are six. The main task of the engineers was to achieve economy on the track. And the noise should become less. A four-wheel drive pickup truck is available. By the way, the L200 is one of the few pickups that is available with permanent all-wheel drive. Thanks to this, you can drive this car on any road and in any weather.
The engine remained the same. And this is good news. Under the hood, you can see a 2,4-liter turbo diesel with 154 or 181 horsepower.
It is worth noting that the Japanese, as always, distinguished themselves and did not allow to open the car doors and look inside at the exhibition. But the most interesting thing awaits us inside the car.
But some details are still known. This is how security systems have noticeably increased. There is an assistant for lifting and lowering. There is also an off-road cruise control, thanks to which you can remove your feet from the pedals and the car itself will select the optimal speed of rotation of the wheels and distribute the torque so that the car clearly leaves a difficult section, and the driver's participation is not required.
Auto designers made the central console vertical. The upper part of the panel is decorated with a large 8-inch multimedia screen. On the sides of the display there is still a pair of air ducts with a plastic silver edging.
The second row of seats is designed for three passengers. The interior will be available in black, gray and brown.
As for the cost of the novelty in our market, the known price will become closer to the start of sales, which is planned for the last quarter of 2019 or the beginning of 2020.
