Toyota has officially introduced the new Crown Estate in the Japanese market, expanding the Crown model range that includes Crossover, Sport and Sedan. This estate combines the features of an SUV and a traditional station wagon, offering both hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

Design and dimensions
The Crown Estate measures 4,930 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and 1,625 mm high, making it a mid-size model between the RAV4 and Harrier in Toyota's Japanese lineup. The exterior of the car follows the styling of the Crown Signia introduced in North America, with a distinctive front end design and the absence of yellow turn signals.

Interior and capacity
The cabin is equipped with two 12,3-inch displays and a steering wheel with the Crown emblem. The car is designed for five passengers and offers a trunk volume of 570 liters, which can be increased to 1,470 liters by folding the rear seats.
Power plants
The Crown Estate is available with two powertrain options. The hybrid version is equipped with a 2,5-litre petrol engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery, providing E-Four all-wheel drive. The plug-in hybrid version uses a 2,5-litre Dynamic Force engine, two electric motors and a larger battery, allowing for an electric range of up to 88 km.

Unique accessories
Toyota offers special accessories for the Crown Estate, including a pull-out seat and table integrated into the trunk, making the car attractive to camping enthusiasts.

Pricing and Availability
Prices for the Crown Estate in Japan start at 6,300,000 yen (about $42,000) for the hybrid version and 7,300,000 yen (about $49,000) for the plug-in hybrid version. Deliveries are scheduled for June 2025.
With a combination of practicality, modern technology and unique accessories, the Toyota Crown Estate is an attractive choice for those looking for a versatile and stylish car.
