Turn it off and you'll lose weight. And if you eat white bread, you will be fat and risk getting diabetes - right? Everything is not so clear. White bread is a product with a simple composition, which means a predictable amount of energy. It can contain only flour and water (for example, pita bread, matzah, pita bread). Or added yeast, sugar and salt (traditional loaf, ciabatta).
If a person leading an active lifestyle eats such bread, it is as if he throws wood into the furnace, which will gradually burn and give energy.
How not to gain weight? Eat bread in the morning. No more than 1-2 pieces. Combine with vegetables or protein, for example, with an omelet. And after that, don't lie down on the sofa, but go to work or for a walk.

Many consider it dietary, but in this case, too, everything depends on the composition. Black bread (especially Borodino bread) has much more sugar than white bread. In addition, syrups or molasses are often added to it, which gives it a dark color. And if nuts and dried fruits are added to the bread, it is more correct to classify it as a dessert, because its composition is closer to a cake. And you need to eat it as a dessert - 1,5 - 2 hours after the previous meal and in the first half of the day.
Whole grain
It contains large parts of grains or even whole grains. Such bread has excellent nutritional properties, but only if you carefully chew each grain. Otherwise, useful substances are not absorbed.
