It is known that the Audi Q6 e-tron will soon receive a Sportback version for coupe-crossover fans. But it seems that the automaker has something even more interesting. Photographers have spotted a camouflaged Q6 Sportback e-tron prototype that appears to be Dakar-ready and has received a number of off-road modifications.
Yes, the prototype electric car can be described as the complete opposite of the road-oriented RS Q6 Sportback e-tron, which was spotted by photographers a few months ago. Ground clearance is huge here, hinting at a completely revised chassis setup, and the alloy wheels are shod in chunky Toyo Open Country M/T tires.
Camouflage covers the entire body, but we can see that this Q6 e-tron has a unique body kit. Wide fenders are combined with new front and rear bumpers. A roof rack further complements the wicked off-road look. The rest of the design elements appear to be carried over from the upcoming Audi Q6 e-tron Sportback, including dynamic LED graphics.
Apparently, the novelty can serve as a concept, showing the future Q6 Sportback e-tron and at the same time celebrating Audi's participation in the Dakar Rally.
