The defense tech industry was born in Ukraine - the production of products necessary for the front
Large Ukrainian business groups donated UAH 58,5 billion to help the Armed Forces and humanitarian aid. The biggest ones are the businesses of Akhmetov, Pinchuk and Poroshenko's funds.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and as of April 2024, large Ukrainian business groups have donated UAH 58,5 billion to aid the Armed Forces and humanitarian aid. Such calculations are provided by NV Business with reference to data from 55 private companies that volunteered to provide such information.
According to the publication, Rinat Akhmetov's SCM company donated the most - UAH 8 billion. In second place is Viktor Pinchuk's business and funds with a figure of UAH 5,77 billion. The third is the Petro Poroshenko fund with UAH 4,7 billion in aid. In fourth place is Nova Poshta with UAH 2,9 billion.
At the same time, the publication noted that the assistance of businesses is not limited only to finances - companies are also engaged in the production of the necessary front of products. In particular, the example of the SCM holding is given, which produces fortifications, protection for tanks, models of military equipment, and others.
The authors of the study add that currently thousands of small and medium-sized businesses will also contribute to the needs of the country - directly to the units of the Armed Forces or local funds, and it is impossible to calculate all these contributions.
