Every day, the capital budget is replenished with the funds of car owners who violated parking rules. Since the beginning of April this year, the inspectors of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of Kyiv issued more than 4300 decisions on violations of parking rules in the amount of more than UAH 2 million.

What traffic rules are most often neglected by capital city drivers and how to quickly pick up a car from the penalty area, read in the exclusive material of the Information Auto Platform Newsauto.

Anna's auto correspondent in Kyiv was taken by a tow truck for parking in an unspecified place (the stop is 10 m from the exits from the surrounding areas). Such an unpleasant story happened for the first time in her driving practice. However, within two hours, the woman managed to return her vehicle.

- In my own practice, I am convinced that thanks to digital technologies, the car is returned to the owner quite quickly, even when you are at the other end of the city. The main thing is to have the "Kyiv digital" and "Diya" applications downloaded and funds on the card to pay the fine. The only thing that did not succeed the first time was to pass photo identification through "Diya", says Hanna.

Where to go if your car "disappears".

If you returned to the place where your car was and found that it is not there, the first thing you should do is call the number 102 or to the patrol police hotline at no (044) 287-82-82. So you will find out whether the car was evacuated to the penalty area or stolen.

There are many reasons for the evacuation of a vehicle by a parking inspector. In particular, the placement of a vehicle that significantly obstructs traffic or poses a threat to traffic safety:

  1. on the carriageway in two or more rows;
  2.  in places of stopping or parking prohibited by the Traffic Rules, namely:
  • at railway crossings;
  • on tram tracks;
  • on overpasses, bridges, overpasses and under them, in tunnels;
  • at pedestrian crossings and 10 meters closer to them on both sides, except when stopping to give priority to traffic;
  • at intersections and closer to 10 meters from the edge of the intersected carriageway in the absence of a pedestrian crossing on it, with the exception of stopping to give the right of way and stopping against side traffic at T-shaped intersections, where there is a continuous marking line or dividing lane;
  • on the carriageway, where the distance between the continuous marking line or the opposite edge of the carriageway and the stopped vehicle is less than 3 meters;
  • closer 30 meters from the landing platforms for stopping route vehicles, and in their absence - closer 30 meters from the road sign of such a stop on both sides;
  • closer than 10 meters from the marked place of execution of road works and in the zone of their execution;
  • in places where it will be impossible to drive on the opposite side or go around a stopped vehicle;
  • closer than 10 meters from the exits from the surrounding areas and directly at the exit point;
  • its location makes the movement of other vehicles impossible or creates an obstacle for the movement of pedestrians, including persons with disabilities on special means of transportation and pedestrians with baby carriages;
  • located on a dedicated lane for public shuttle traffic;
  • located on a cycle path marked with appropriate road signs and/or road markings;
  • obstructs the movement or operation of snow removal and other technological communal transport in the event of the introduction of a state of emergency or in the event of the declaration of a separate area as a zone of an ecological emergency;
  • violates the vehicle parking pattern in such a way that it blocks two or more lanes of traffic.

The director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Valentin Osypov, draws the attention of drivers that parking inspectors do not have the right to take cash to pay for parking or to pay fines imposed at the place of the offense. For this, a fine in the amount of 15 to 70 tax-free minimums is provided.

Step 3: download the electronic format of the motor vehicle technical passport and driver's license through "Diya";

Step 4: choose the "fines" category and go to it, add the vehicle number, after which a window will appear with the amount of a fine of about UAH 2000 (for violating the parking rules, the cost of evacuation, storing the car in the penalty area and the fee for processing payments) and the option to pay him;

Step 5: wait for the application to be approved and receive a QR code to show it to the inspector at the penalty area and return the car.

Vehicles can be picked up from penalty areas of Kyiv on Monday-Friday from 09:00 to 21.00:11.00, Saturday-Sunday from 21.00:XNUMX to XNUMX:XNUMX at the following addresses:

Car parking at the site for up to 7 days costs UAH 144 per day, for more than 7 days - UAH 24 per day. Payment of the fine itself for incorrect parking — UAH 680. If you pay the fine within 10 days from the appointment, a 50% discount will apply.
