How to water tomatoes so as not to harm them

To harvest a good harvest of tomatoes, you need to properly care for them. This is not only feeding and weeding, but also watering.

The root of tomatoes is not deep in the ground, so they must be watered abundantly to keep the soil moist. The depth of the soaked soil should be 20-25 cm. But this must be done immediately after planting so that the plant takes root well in the new place.

Then moderate watering is enough until the ovary begins to form. It is necessary to reduce watering so that excess green mass does not build up, which pulls nutrients from the bush.

When the formation of fruits begins, it is necessary to water abundantly again. The depth of irrigation should be 25-30 centimeters. If there is not enough moisture, then this leads to shedding of the ovary that has formed.

During the ripening of tomatoes, it is necessary to reduce watering again, so as not to lead to cracking and rotting of the fruits. In a dry season, it is enough to water them 2 times a week.
