Scientists put forward a new theory of the disappearance of dinosaurs

Scientists have canceled the version that the dinosaurs disappeared due to an asteroid. According to the Daily Mail, researchers from Darmouth University developed a simulation that used actual geological data to analyze more than 300 possible scenarios. The system was used to explain the fossil record for the million years before and after the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Based on the results of the simulation, it became clear that climate change and toxic gases over hundreds of years of emissions from the Deccan Traps led to the extinction of the dinosaurs.

According to scientists, the Indian megavolcano "Deccan Traps" injected 10,4 trillion tons of carbon dioxide and 9,3 trillion tons of sulfur dioxide into the Earth's atmosphere. This happened in a million years of eruption.

Thus, the dinosaurs did not die out due to the fall of an asteroid to Earth. This was caused by emissions from the volcano.
