Draft law No. 11111 was introduced in Ukraine, which provides for increased liability for frequently committed violations of traffic rules. According to this draft law, some drivers may face the need to pay fines that are several times higher than before.
The driver, who did not give way to emergency vehicles with special signals, is now facing a fine of 680 hryvnias. However, people's deputies believe that this punishment does not correspond to the seriousness of this violation. Therefore, they propose to increase responsibility by increasing the fine to 51 hryvnias, reports SUV News.
These changes are relevant due to the increase in cases where drivers fail to yield to emergency vehicles such as ambulances, firemen and police. These breaches can have serious consequences, as the speed of response of these services can save lives.
