Church of the OCU in Russia

The Russian court issued a decision to demolish the temple, because it seemed to disturb the peace of the local population.

In Noginsk near Moscow, on April 11, the Russians demolished the only church of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in honor of the Holy Trinity, which was built and served by Metropolitan Adrian. This was reported by OCU cleric Sviatoslav Skorokhod on Facebook.

"On the fourth week of Great Lent, the last spiritual barricade of the Ukrainian spirit in Russia was destroyed. Earlier, the Ukrainian library was closed in the swamps and the only organization of the Ukrainian diaspora was liquidated," he wrote.
According to the clergyman, there have always been tens of thousands of temples of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine, while in Russia, meanwhile, there is only one temple of the OCU. It was located in Noginsk, Moscow Region. In 2016, the Noginsky District Court issued a decision to demolish the temple, because it seemed to disturb the peace of the local population.

"In 2013, I was ordained in this church, and from 2008 to 2015 I was the press secretary of Bishop Adriana. Therefore, I want to say one thing: this Ukrainian shrine was about the history of faith and resistance to the Russian authorities and the Moscow Patriarchate, even where it seemed completely impossible!" - emphasized the priest.
