The United States can transfer aid to Ukraine within a few days after the approval of the relevant bill by the Senate and the signing of the document by US President Joe Biden. This was stated by Pentagon representative Patrick Ryder.
"In general, I would say that we expect to be able to deliver aid within a few days. I don't have anything to announce right now in terms of what that help will look like. First, we need a law," he explained during the briefing.
Ryder noted that the US has already given Ukraine a lot of military aid. And the States are trying to provide additional support as quickly as possible.
It is worth noting that the bill on aid to Ukraine still needs to be approved by the US Senate, after which it will be sent to President Joe Biden for signature.
Aid to Ukraine from the United States: what may be included in the new package
Reuters reported that the US is preparing a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth $1 billion. It should be announced after Biden signs the aid bill, which still has to pass the Senate.
It is expected that the new package may include Stinger air defense systems, ammunition for highly mobile artillery rocket systems, 155 mm artillery ammunition, TOW and Javelin anti-tank ammunition, etc.
At the same time, CNN writes that in the new aid package, the USA may for the first time transfer to Ukraine long-range ATACMS capable of striking at a distance of 300 km.
