The occupiers installed a EW system on the ground drone. According to military officer Serhii Bezkrestnov, in this way they intend to suppress UAVs on approach and protect soldiers.

In the Russian Federation, an unmanned aircraft with a built-in electronic warfare system was shown. The relevant footage was published by the Telegram channel of the Russian company “Laboratory of countering industrial espionage” (Laboratory PPSH) on April 22.

Developers are turning to Russian robotics manufacturers whose technology is involved in the war against Ukraine, offering a EW system to cover assault groups from skids and FPV drones.

It should be noted that according to the Russian portal RoboTrends, a mobile crawler robotic complex for initial inspection and demining with a similar name - "Varan" - is being produced in the Russian Federation. The robot was developed by the Scientific Research Institute of the Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman and manufactured at the Kovrovsky Electromechanical Plant OJSC KEMZ OJSC plant. The tasks of "Varana" include detection, neutralization and destruction of explosive devices.

Serhiy Beskrestnov (Serhiy Flesh), a military officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and radio technology specialist, wrote in his Telegram channel that, judging by its appearance, the ground drone is equipped with the Triton EW system, which was also developed and produced by the PPSh Laboratory company.

According to the expert, this drone should go ahead of the line of trenches to suppress FPV drones while approaching positions without risking personnel.
