According to the politician, he does not believe that there are no large volumes of oil on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. There is only one company operating in this industry in the country, although competition is needed.
Belarusian politician Oleksandr Lukashenko ordered the new Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Serhiy Maslyak to find oil in Belarus. This is reported by the news agency Learned.
It is reported that Lukashenko set such a task to Maslyak on the day of his appointment.
"As for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, we recently held a serious meeting in this regard. I'll say it straight: you have to dig and search. In addition, you need to make everyone work in this direction," said Lukashenko.
According to him, he does not believe that there are no large volumes of oil on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
"If you solve this task to some extent, this monument can be placed anywhere," he said.
The politician noted that deposits of mineral fertilizers have been more or less explored in Belarus. According to him, only one company operates in the field of oil exploration and production in the country, and there should be competition.
"We didn't come up with it - there should be competition. We need more opinions, more impressions, etc.," said Lukashenko.
