Genesis' sports sub-brand called Magma is back with a new creation, but unlike the previous versions, the new one has a blue body color instead of orange. According to Genesis, the blue color is a symbol of the hottest part of the fire, which is why this color is so suitable for a "charged" electric car.
Does this mean the G80 EV Magma Concept is the brand's fastest car yet? It is impossible to say for sure at the moment. Debuting at the Auto China exhibition in Beijing, Genesis talked about the modernization of the suspension, increased brakes and changes in the appearance of the new electric car. But the company keeps the dynamic characteristics of the novelty a secret.
The serial electric sedan has a pair of electric motors with a total power of 365 horsepower. But you can be sure that the Korean automaker has significantly modernized the power plant of the concept sedan.
It's worth noting that this isn't the first performance-oriented G80 sedan we've seen. Earlier this year, Genesis announced a limited edition model for the Middle East market called the Magma Special.
That version had a 500-horsepower 3,5-liter twin-turbo V6. It will not be superfluous to recall that the first electric variant of Magma was the GV60, which debuted at the end of March at the New York Auto Show.
