In March of this year, it was reported that all Indian companies refused to accept oil from Sovcomflot tankers.

A vessel controlled by Russia's Sovcomflot, which is under US sanctions, unloaded fuel oil at a port in western India. This was reported by the Reuters agency on Friday, April 26, citing informed sources.

The SCF Baltica was reportedly carrying 90 metric tons of fuel oil for Reliance Industries, operator of the world's largest refinery complex at Jamnagar in Gujarat state.

The US imposed sanctions against the Russian shipping giant and identified 14 crude oil tankers as property in which Sovkomflot had an interest after the war in Ukraine on February 23 of this year. The SCF Baltica is not on the list of 14 vessels that have been sanctioned by Washington in recent months.

After some time, a message appeared that all Indian companies refused to accept oil from Sovcomflot tankers.
