Soup with cheese balls will be enjoyed by both adults and children. It turns out rich and has a bright taste. This soup is prepared quite simply and quickly.
First dishes are the basis of most people's diet. And although there are thousands of recipes for liquid dishes, in our region they cook basically the same soups.
We bring to your attention a very interesting recipe for chicken soup. Its specialty is very tasty cheese balls.
Necessary ingredients:
(per 3 liter pot)
- chicken fillet - 2 pcs.;
- potatoes - 3 pcs.;
- onion - 1 pcs.;
- carrot - 1 pc.;
- dill - a couple of sprigs;
- salt, pepper to taste;
- bay leaf - 1 pcs.
Cheese balls:
- hard cheese - 100 g;
- butter - 20 g;
- eggs - 1 pcs.;
- flour - 100 g;
- dill - a couple of sprigs;
- salt - a pinch.
Method of cooking:
Cut the chicken fillet or thigh meat into pieces and put it in a pan. Pour cold water over the chicken and put it on the fire. When the water begins to boil, remove the foam that has formed. We also add one whole peeled onion and half a whole carrot to the pan and let the broth cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
Let's prepare the dough for cheese balls. To do this, rub hard cheese on a fine grater, add 1 raw egg, soft butter, finely chopped dill and a pinch of salt. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth. Next, add flour to this mixture and knead the dough. We wrap the dough in cling film and send it to the refrigerator.
Peel the potatoes, cut them into small cubes and add them to the boiling broth. Boil the potatoes until ready (15 minutes).
At this time, take out the cheese dough from the refrigerator and form small balls with your hands.
Grate half of the carrot on a fine grater. When the potatoes in the soup are ready, add grated carrots and cheese balls. At this stage, salt and pepper the soup and add a bay leaf.
Cook the soup over low heat for another 5-7 minutes. After that, take out whole carrots and onions and turn off the soup. At the end, add chopped dill.
