An abandoned 1991 Chevrolet Corvette in a very rare ZR1 modification has been found in the UK. The sports car was parked in the garage for 20 years. The car was talked about in a video on the YouTube channel The Late Brake Show, "Focus" informs.
It is currently unknown why the rare Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 was abandoned. For two decades in the garage, the interior of the car was covered with mold. The body is dirty, but not rusty, because it is made of fiberglass. The engine currently won't start because mice have chewed through the cables.
The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 sports car has been washed and will soon be repaired. Restoration of the car will not be too expensive and it is quite justified.
The fact is that the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is a valuable collectible model. Only 6939 of these coupes were produced in total, and only 300 of them made it to Europe.
The ZR1 is a supercharged version of the Chevrolet Corvette with a 5,7-liter V8 developed by Lotus specialists. This engine develops 405 hp. and 522 Nm and allows acceleration to 100 km/h in 4,7 s and a top speed of 290 km/h.
