If you want a car as rare as the Gordon Murray T.50, but don't want to spend £2,8m (Hryvnia 140m), Subaru has the answer - the new Outback Touring X. In the UK, all 100 copies. This latest version of the Subaru wagon will be available to order from May 1.
The top-of-the-range Outback Touring model X Limited Edition comes with Geyser Blue Metallic paint, 18-inch dark metallic alloy wheels, crystal black exterior mirrors, black roof rails and gloss black lower bumpers.
Inside, Nappa leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, a leather steering wheel, a sunroof and a rearview camera. In the center of the instrument panel there is an 11,6-inch touchscreen with built-in satellite navigation, as well as the ability to connect Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There's also an 11-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
As standard, the Outback gets Subaru EyeSight driver assistance technology, blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive headlights, keyless entry and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Outback is only available as a station wagon.
The Limited Edition gets the standard powerplant found on any other Subaru Outback, with a 2,5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine producing 173 hp. and a torque of 235 Nm. There is also a Subaru permanent all-wheel drive system and a selection of off-road driving modes "X-Mode".
The entry-level limited edition Outback starts at £36990 (Hryvnia 1,8 million), while the ultra-exclusive limited edition Touring X costs £43635 (Hryvnia 2,3 million at current exchange rates).
