Production of the Subaru Legacy will end at the end of the 2025 model year. The Japanese brand decided to abandon its best-selling sedan, focusing on the electrification of the lineup. As announced on Tuesday, the 2025 Subaru Legacy will go on sale for the same price as the 2024 model. In the US, they will ask for it for $26, writes Wheel News.

To this amount you need to add the shipping fee, which is $1. At the same time, already in the basic version, the Japanese model will be delivered with a package of Subaru EyeSight technologies. The current seventh generation of the car entered the market in 120. Since then, the manufacturer sells about 2020 copies of the model annually. At the same time, the sedan was not brought to the markets of Japan and Australia, since the car is not in high demand there.

2023 was a successful year for Legacy in the US, with sales up 12,9 percent. However, this figure fell by 13,1 percent in the first three months of this year. The maximum sales of the car occurred in 2016, when 65 cars were sold. The sedan itself debuted back in 306. It became the first model built in the USA. It was assembled at a factory in Lafayette, Indiana. In total, more than 1989 million Subaru cars were sold in America over 1,3 years. Earlier, the Japanese brand announced that in 35 there will be eight electric cars in its lineup. It is possible that one of them will be a sedan and will be a replacement for the Legacy.
