Do not cut peony bushes immediately after flowering: useful tips

Peony is a beautiful flower, unpretentious in care, it does not need to be given much attention. But you need to know how to cut so as not to harm the flowers. If you cut a peony incorrectly, it may not bloom next year.

When the peony has faded, do not prune the bush completely. It is in the stems that nutrients are formed, which contribute to the laying of a new bud ovary for the next year. Therefore, cut only dried flowers. And the stem should stand until late autumn. You can do it with the onset of the first frosts.

If you have a very young small bush, then when the first buds appear, experienced florists advise cutting them so that the bush grows faster and there are more flowers in the following seasons.
