Cookies are a delicious dessert that decorates any table and adds coziness to any evening. Today we have prepared a simple and quick recipe for kefir, after which even the table will remain clean.
To prepare these cookies you will need:
- Wheat flour - 2 cups
- Baking powder - 2 teaspoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 3/4 teaspoon
- Butter - 9 tablespoons
- Low-fat kefir - 1 cup
First, in a deep bowl, sift all the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Next, cut the cooled butter into cubes and add it to the previous ingredients.
Mix all this with a mixer until crumbs form. It is important to beat the ingredients at a low speed so that the dry ingredients do not fly apart.
Now gradually add 1 cup of cold kefir and mix until a soft dough is formed. It should not be too wet, but still slightly sticky.
When the dough is ready, you can proceed to the formation of cookies. Scoop some dough with a spoon and give it any shape you like. The main thing is that they should be about 3 centimeters thick, so that the cookies are completely baked, but at the same time they do not burn.
Next, cover the baking sheet with parchment and place the cookies on it. Leave a distance of about 5 centimeters between them, as the blanks will increase in size during the baking process.
The upper part of the cookies can be greased with melted butter for browning. Also at this stage, you can sprinkle the blanks with sugar, poppy seeds or sesame seeds.
Now bake in the oven at a temperature of 200 degrees for about 13-15 minutes, until the cookies are slightly golden and risen.
Let it cool a little and serve with honey or jam for tea.
