Aceman, despite its small dimensions, will be distinguished by a spacious interior and will receive two modifications, both with one electric motor on the front axle. On one charge, the novelty will be able to drive up to 400 kilometers, will surprise you with its driving character and the first full-fledged voice assistant for a MINI. The start of sales of Aceman in Europe is planned for the fall of this year.
The MINI Aceman crossover is the brand's first attempt to enter the premium subcompact segment. With a length of just over four meters, the novelty offers a spacious interior for five and a spacious trunk, the volume of which varies from 300 to 1005 liters. In the MINI model range, the crossover will be located between Cooper and Countryman. It will be produced in China, and only with electric power plants.
The initial MINI Aceman E will receive a front electric motor with a capacity of 184 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque and will be able to accelerate to "hundreds" in 7,9 seconds. The battery with a capacity of 42,5 kilowatt-hours will provide 310 kilometers of travel according to the WLTP cycle. The older Aceman SE will get a power unit with a return of 218 forces and 310 Nm, as well as a 54,2 kilowatt-hour battery. From zero to a hundred, such an electric car will be able to accelerate in 7,1 seconds and drive up to 406 kilometers without recharging.
Aceman supports charging with alternating current with a power of 11 kilowatts or direct current with a power of 75/95 kilowatts depending on the modification. The crossover's suspension uses stiff anti-roll bars and the steering uses a short steering rack to create a go-kart effect. The minimalist design is neighbors with the same interior decoration, which is designed in the best traditions of Alec Issigonis, the author of the original MINI.
On the front panel of the Aceman is a round OLED "plate" with a diameter of 240 millimeters. Multimedia works under the control of MINI Operating System 9 and is equipped with a full-fledged voice assistant for the first time. He can learn from daily dialogues and perform routine tasks. As on the Cooper, there is also a MINI Experience mode switch with light projection on the front panel and eight preset profiles. There will be a choice of four trim levels: Essential, Classic, Favored and the sporty JCW.
