At the zoo in Fort Worth, Texas, the sleep of an Asian elephant nicknamed the Colonel was filmed. The video was published by the SWNS YouTube channel.

The footage shows the animal lying on its side in the water and sometimes raising its trunk to breathe air.

According to zoo employees, the 29-year-old five-ton Colonel was wary of the water and did not dare to enter it.
