Honeydew is familiar to everyone and has long been one of the main home desserts. Today we have prepared a recipe that will add tenderness and lightness to it, all thanks to a special creamy cream.


To prepare such honey, you will need:

  • Chicken eggs - 3 pieces
  • Sugar - 180 grams
  • Butter - 100 grams
  • Honey - 3 tablespoons
  • Wheat flour - 350 grams
  • Soda - 1 teaspoon
  • Cream 33% - 250 milliliters
  • Sour cream 15-20% - 600 milliliters
  • Powdered sugar - to taste

A day before making the cake, put the sour cream in a colander with cheesecloth folded in several layers. Place it in a bowl, cover and refrigerate. It is enough for the sour cream to stand overnight. In the morning it will be very thick.



First, break the eggs into a deep bowl and pour in the sugar. Beat all this until foam is formed. Put the butter and honey in a pan with a thick bottom. Heat until butter and honey dissolve, stir. Add beaten eggs with sugar and baking soda to this pan. Stir and heat until the mixture foams.

Then gradually add flour. Knead a soft, elastic dough that does not stick to your hands. Divide it into 6-7 balls and put it in the cold for 30-40 minutes. Roll each ball as thin as possible. The diameter of the cakes should be approximately 22 cm. Bake the cakes in an oven preheated to 180-185 degrees. Be guided by your oven. You will get about 7 cakes and one small one for sprinkling the cake.



Put thick sour cream, prepared in advance, in a deep dish. Add powdered sugar to taste. Pour very cold cream there. Beat the cream to a thick, lush consistency. Then put it in the cold for 30-40 minutes.

Remove the cream from the refrigerator and layer the cakes with the cream. Leave some of the cream to decorate the cake. Let the cake soak in the cream for 7-8 hours, preferably overnight, and serve.
