Doctors from the Spanish University of Navarra told which drug is better to use to reduce the temperature. According to doctors, paracetamol and ibuprofen, which are common for such cases, cannot always help.
Due to the different properties of these drugs, they need to be taken for different symptoms. So, ibuprofen belongs to the group of nonsteroidal drugs, that is, it suppresses the synthesis of substances responsible for the inflammatory reaction and pain. At the same time, paracetamol does not have anti-inflammatory properties.
"Ibuprofen can be used to treat mild to moderate pain caused by various causes, as well as high fever," the pharmaceutical company Cinfa Laboratories added. Therefore, it is best taken for migraines, fevers, rheumatic conditions or to relieve symptoms of non-rheumatic diseases
Experts noted that ibuprofen has side effects, unlike paracetamol. For example, you need to be careful with the dosage. Doctors also concluded that both drugs are safe. However, they should be used depending on the symptoms.
