At the Auto China car exhibition, Mazda company not only presented the electric EZ-6, but also impressed the public with the prototype of the new electric crossover - Mazda Arata. This concept car, which shows the direction of development of new Mazda models, is planned to go into production next year as the second new electrified model for the Chinese market.
Mazda Arata, which is still in the concept stage, looks ready for serial production without unnecessary design refinements. In terms of size, the new product resembles the CX-5 crossover, but the styling of the windows and the sloping roofline give it a CX-30 look. An aggressive look at the front with flat headlights and a similarly flat rear with an illuminated model name underlines Mazda's modern design.
The electric SUV will be equipped with an all-electric powertrain, while the parallel EZ-6 is available in both hybrid and all-electric versions.
Details about the dimensions and exact specifications of Arata Mazda are still kept secret, but it is already clear that the new product has all the signs of a stylish and modern city SUV.
Unfortunately, the production version of Arata will not appear in Europe in the near future. However, the design of the novelty may give an idea of what future Mazda models will look like, including all-electric cars.
