The State Assembly supported the January decision of the State Senate and voted for the resolution on the establishment of twinning relations with the Lviv Region. 69 out of 80 members of the chamber cast their votes "for". Maksym Kozytskyi wrote about this in his TG.
This decision paves the way for mutually beneficial cooperation between Lviv Oblast and California in the fields of economy, education, science and culture.
Thank you to the members of both houses of the California Legislature who voted for the resolution. Special respect to its author - Senator Bill Dodd and Ukrainians in the USA, in particular to the natives of Lviv Oblast, who worked very hard at all levels to make this decision a reality.
Lviv Oblast is the second region in Ukraine that started cooperation with the American state. Kyiv Region was the first in March to establish sisterly relations with the state of Washington.
