The Ukrainian Ombudsman returned from Qatar, where he held intense negotiations regarding the return of children abducted by Russia
The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, said that the names of Ukrainian children whose return Ukraine is waiting for were given to the occupiers through Qatar, Chroniclers reports.
"We handed over to Qatar a list with the names of 561 Ukrainian children, which is already in the Russian side. I will also once again refute the propaganda of the Russian Federation: we are conducting negotiations through the mediation of Qatar, there have been no direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia," he said.
According to him: "Qatar agreed to accept the first list of orphans and children deprived of parental care and to work out the issue of their return to Ukraine. I would like to note that according to our data, there may be more than 3600 such children."
