Lazy cabbage rolls in a new way: they turn out even tastier than the classic ones

The cooking method is very simple and new. The taste of such lazy cabbage rolls is simply wonderful, due to a certain preparation of cabbage. The products used are the same as for classic cabbage rolls. But the cooking process itself is different (less time-consuming), but the taste is even better.


Ingredients:

  • 500 g of minced meat
  • 450 g of white cabbage
  • 2 pcs. onions
  • 1 pcs. carrots
  • 4 Art. l. rice
  • 2 century. l. sour cream
  • 3 tsp. tomato paste
  • 3 century. l. vegetable oil
  • ground pepper, salt to taste

Method of cooking:

1. Fry finely chopped onions and coarsely grated carrots in oil for 5 minutes. Cut the cabbage into thin strips, sprinkle with salt and mash well with your hands until the juice is released. We send it to onions and carrots.



2. Fry the vegetables, stirring, over low heat for about 15 minutes (do not add water). At the end, pepper and taste for salt. Cabbage should retain a slight crunch. It is fried cabbage that gives the dish a great taste.

3. Boil the rice in a large amount of water until ready, pour cold water and put it in a colander. We supplement the minced meat with salt, pepper, ready-made rice and coarsely grated onion (1 pc.). Mix well and divide into 6 parts.



4. Roll out each part of the minced meat on a bag into a thin cake.

5. Add fried cabbage (1/6 part).

6. Bend the left and right edges of the package with the minced meat to the middle and cover the cabbage with the minced meat. Pinch from above with your fingers. The filling will be open on both sides so that the minced meat does not crack during cooking.

7. Turn the lazy cabbage rolls seam down and place them in the form. If cooking on the stove, put it in a roasting pan or a high pan.

8. Put sour cream, tomato paste, a little salt and pepper in a bowl and mix. Pour in water (50 ml), stirring, and a thin sauce is obtained.

9. Pour sauce on top and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 35 minutes.

10. 20 minutes after the start of cooking, take out the form and grease the cabbage rolls with sauce from the bottom (using a brush). That's how beautiful it turns out, a wonderful aroma.

11. Transfer the finished lazy cabbage rolls to a plate and add greens. Due to fried cabbage, these lazy cabbage rolls are tastier than classic cabbage rolls.

12. This is how they look in section. Roasted cabbage soaks with meat juice when baked and gives the dish an excellent taste. Minced meat does not dry out because it is covered with sauce. This is a juicy, hearty and very tasty dish.
