The latest iteration of the Volkswagen Passat sedan showcases an increase in cabin size and space, as well as the introduction of new features and options.
The Passat B9 model range, which is represented by powerful gasoline turbo engines with a capacity of up to 220 horsepower, now includes a sedan presented at the prestigious Beijing Motor Show, as reported on the Volkswagen website.
The sedan, given the special name Magotan in China to distinguish it from the American VW Passat, which is also sold in the region, underlines Volkswagen's commitment to providing customized solutions in various markets. However, in other regions, it can keep the familiar Passat name.
Complemented by wagon-like profiled sidewalls, the Passat sedan features a more aggressive and faceted front-end design that exudes a modern aesthetic appeal. In addition, a barely noticeable increase in size contributes to its overall growth.
Volkswagen Passat/Magotan 2024 boasts impressive dimensions:

Delving into the range of options, the Volkswagen Magotan offers state-of-the-art features including head-up projection, surround view cameras, ventilated seats and a front seat massage function, satisfying the most demanding drivers who seek enhanced comfort and convenience.
In addition, the capacious trunk with a volume of 520 liters provides enough space for storing luggage and essentials.
Under the hood, the Volkswagen Passat B9 sedan debuts with a number of powerful power units, including 1,5-liter (160 hp) and 2,0-liter (220 hp) gasoline turbo fours. In addition, plans to introduce a plug-in hybrid in the future demonstrate Volkswagen's commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.
