China is masking its military presence in space and may take over the moon

China is rapidly expanding its capabilities for both research and warfare in space.

China disguises its military presence in space and intends to take over the moon. This was announced by the head of NASA, Bill Nelson, on Thursday, April 18, according to Sky News.

"We believe that a significant part of their so-called civilian space program is a military program," he said at a meeting of the Appropriations Committee of the US House of Representatives.

He explained that China has made "extraordinary strides" in space exploration, especially in the last 10 years, but they are extremely secretive.

“The latest date they've said they're going to land on the moon is 2030, but it keeps moving. We have an obligation to get there first and use our research efforts for peaceful purposes," Nelson said.

He predicted that China could claim part of outer space as its own territory if it were the first to land on the moon.

"If Beijing arrives first, it can say, 'Okay, this is our territory, stay away,'" warned the head of NASA.

"I hope that the Chinese space program will come to its senses and realize that civilian space is for peaceful use, but we haven't seen that demonstrated," Nelson said.
