The drug has a sedative and hypnotic effect, as well as an anxiolytic, anticonvulsant and central myorelaxant effect. Kadyrov used Dormicum due to severe pain, insomnia and increased anxiety.
After rumors about Kadyrov's poor health, his publicists launched a "powerful PR campaign at the federal level" to divert public attention from this topic. It involved "top Russian politicians", including Putin, who held meetings with the head of Chechnya four times in 2023.
