With the arrival of spring, a lot of greenery appears in the garden, chickens lay better, cows give more milk. All this affects the prices on the market, so it's time to replenish the body with natural products and, accordingly, vitamins. And it is best to do this by preparing green borscht.
This dish can be prepared both with meat broth and without meat and even with fish.
The following ingredients are needed for a 3-liter pot of borscht:
- Meat (fish) — for broth
- Onion 1 pc.
- Carrot - 1 pc.
- Potatoes - 5-6 pcs.
- Eggs - 3-4 pcs.
- Kvasok - 100 g
- Parsley, dill - a small bunch each
- Salt - to your taste
Boil broth based on meat or fish, add salt and chopped onion. When the meat is almost ready, add grated carrots and diced onions. At the end, throw in chopped kvass, greens and chopped pre-boiled eggs. It is better to add sour cream to serving plates. Tasty and useful in spring!
