The facelifted GV70 will continue to be offered with internal combustion engines and in a BEV version.

Genesis has launched a mid-cycle refresh for its attractive GV70 SUV, which will launch in South Korea in May, followed by global markets.

The overall exterior design of the new model remains very similar to the previous GV70 model, although some improvements have been made. For example, there is a new radiator grille with a double mesh weave, and the latest MLA technology is used in the two-line headlights.

Other updates to the 70 GV2025 include new 19-inch Dark Hyper Silver wheels. The rear turn signals were also moved from the bumpers to the taillights, there was an updated rear spoiler, as well as new-shaped exhaust pipes.

The interior has undergone more significant changes. Like the updated GV80, the new GV70 ditches the previous model's separate digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen in favor of a single 27-inch display. The elliptical shape of the screen used for climate control has also been removed in favor of a simpler rectangular display. Fortunately, Genesis didn't completely abandon the GV70's elliptical theme and moved it to the air vents.

The automaker has also installed a new steering wheel similar to that of the 2025 GV80. The external lighting system was also refined.

Further changes were made to the GV70 Sport. Standard equipment includes a custom G-Matrix Crest Grille, enlarged air intakes, 21-inch dark metal wheels, a dark chrome rear diffuser and muffler tips, a unique steering wheel and orange contrast stitching.

Genesis has yet to announce powertrain specifications for the 70 GV2025, but we expect the same engine options to be available. These are a 2,2-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel, a 2,5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine and a 3,5-liter twin-turbo V6. The electrified GV70 is also likely to receive the same updates as the rest of the diesel range.
