The throttle position sensor is designed to control fuel injection. In addition, its task is to be responsible for the ignition advance angle and the idling mode. When it starts to transmit incorrect data, there are jerks during acceleration, floating idle revolutions.
In the event of failure of the fuel pressure control sensor, critical malfunctions in the operation of the power unit occur, including its complete stop. Modern motors have an induction sensor that detects the position of the crankshaft and sends signals to the control unit during each revolution of the part. If it fails, the system will interpret it as a failure of the internal combustion engine and the car will simply not start. The coolant temperature sensor is used in the system to adjust the composition of the fuel mixture. If it breaks, fuel consumption will increase because the system will prepare the mixture for a temperature of 0 degrees Celsius.
The internal combustion engine detonation sensor detects premature explosions of the fuel mixture. Thanks to it, the system corrects the ignition advance angle. Fuel consumption is also affected by the oxygen content sensor in the exhaust, which is used to adjust the composition of the fuel mixture.
