In Poland, the government is responsible for foreign policy, and it "did not authorize the president" Andrzej Duda to speak publicly about the Nuclear Sharing program regarding the placement of nuclear weapons.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radoslav Sikorsky, told reporters in the Diet, Ukrinform reports with reference to PAP.

Sikorsky reminded that according to the Constitution, the Council of Ministers conducts foreign policy, and the president "implements this policy, even if he does not agree with it."

"The Council of Ministers did not authorize the president to speak publicly at an international forum regarding the Nuclear Sharing program. The less said about it, the better," said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He added that these are very serious issues that are being discussed between allies during the preparation of very important treaties.

As reported, the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, said in an interview with Fakt that the country is ready to deploy nuclear weapons on its territory, if the allies make such a decision to strengthen NATO's eastern flank.

In this regard, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that he plans to meet with the president as soon as possible to understand his intentions.
