Archaeologists discovered an ancient necropolis in southern Italy. They came across it during scheduled excavations in the suburb of Amorozi. This town is located 50 km from Naples, writes GreekReporter.
The area of the necropolis is 13 square meters. m. It consists of 000 tombs dating back to the VII-VII centuries BC. e. In the graves of the men, researchers found weapons. Bronze ornaments such as pendants and bracelets were found in women's burials. The most interesting finds include urns of various shapes. They were placed at the feet of the dead.

Representatives of this culture used biconical caskets to store the ashes of the dead. These practices and funerary customs indicate a connection between the Villanova culture and the Hallstatt and Urnfield cultures, which belong to broader European cultural movements.
