The Austrian concern sold its assets in Russia and left
Wienerberger explained that the departure from the Russian market is connected with the geopolitical situation.
The largest brick producer in the world, the Austrian concern Wienerberge sold two of its plants in Russia and left the Russian market. This is reported by RBC with reference to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities of Russia.
The new owner of the concern's factories in the Volodymyr region and Tatarstan became the company Stroymiks, owned by businessman Oleksiy Filin. The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Wienerberger explained that the departure from the Russian market is connected with the geopolitical situation.
The total investment of Wienerberger in Russia is estimated at 60 million euros, and the actual value of the enterprises today is about 4,5 billion rubles. However, according to local experts, the Austrian concern sold assets well below the market: the amount of the transaction did not exceed 2 billion rubles.
