What the armored cabin of the "Bohdan" self-propelled gun looks like in the production process (Photo)

Today, the 2C22 155-mm self-propelled artillery vehicle "Bohdana" is manufactured on the Tatra T815-7 four-axle chassis of the 8x8 wheel formula. But the protected armored cabin is manufactured for it by the research and design enterprise "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles". The other day, interesting photos appeared that directly show the process of its production, writes autocentre.ua.

Note that the design of the cabin resembles the well-known armored cars of the same brand - "Varta" and "Novator". Here, only the integrated hood is made higher, in line with the significant dimensions of the entire ACS. In the workshop, by the way, you can see armored vehicles that arrived for repair from the front line.

It should be noted that the Bogdana 2C22 self-propelled gun has a rate of fire of up to 5 rounds per minute. A projectile transmitter was recently installed here. The target hitting range reaches 40-42 km. Ammunition set consists of 20 shells. The ACS is transferred from the transport position to the combat position and vice versa in just one and a half minutes.
