How to sow dill in open ground
First, it is worth understanding the timing of landing. In fact, dill is not fussy about it at all, so you can sow the culture from the very beginning of spring until late autumn. The day on which to do this depends solely on your personal preferences. However, many gardeners constantly sow dill throughout the season - as soon as it has finished flowering, it is sown again. This is necessary in order to always be able to enjoy homemade and fresh greens.
Dill likes a lot of sun, so it should be sown in an open area so that the plant's development is not hindered by neighbors in the garden. Neutral but loose areas are suitable for growing the plant, but you need to prepare the soil for dill in advance - use compost or humus for fertilizer in the fall. Seeds should be sown in moist soil, and seed should be placed in holes at a distance of 20 centimeters from each other. But the width of the hole itself should be up to 2 centimeters.
By the way, it is important not to "overdo it" with seeds - there should be no more than a gram of seed material per square meter. You need to wait with watering after sowing, it is better not to touch the soil in the first two days, because this will help make sure that you did not accidentally wash away the seeds. But already on the 10th day after sowing, you can wait for the appearance of the first seedlings.
